Melatonin is a hormone found naturally in the body. The primary use of melatonin as a supplement is to normalize irregular sleep patterns and reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. The melatonin used in Melat-8 ® is made synthetically in a laboratory. To ensure effective absorption, Melat-8 ® sublingual gummys should be dissolved under the tongue or in the cheek.

Melat-8® is a non-habit forming melatonin supplement that is intended for short-term management of insomnia, occasional sleeplessness, and jet lag.

Melatonin functions to regulate the body’s sleep and wake cycles. Darkness causes the body to produce more melatonin, which signals the body to prepare for sleep. Light decreases melatonin and signals the body to wake up and stay awake. Some people who experience trouble sleeping have low levels of melatonin, and may benefit from short-term or occasional supplementation.
